The Closer You Get to Canada is a short film set in the future, based on a novel by Thomas King. In a sci-fi future, all animals have been hunted to near extinction. Ta’Kaiya plays Sarah, the daughter of Mason, played by Gordon Tootoosis.  Ta’Kaiya’s grandfather, along with other seniors, live at A Seniors Game Park Reserve.
